Technical note: Disc 2 track 4 is not the Chocolate Moose but is in fact “1523 Blair” by The Outcasts. Also on Disc 2, track 16 “You’d Better Change“ by Dan Curry is not on the CD, making “Pretty Little Thing“ by Deepest Blue the actual track 16.

The Spacemen - “Same Old Grind” b/w “Run For Your Life” Big Sound 309 (1966)
Here’s one of the great ones from America’s dairyland. These guys hailed from Antigo Wisconsin and racked up three 45’s in their short lifespan. “Same Old Grind“ was released on the Big Sound label out of Wausau Wisconsin in 1966. Big Sound also released the awesome “Can’t Tame Me” by The Benders, which has been comped at least three times. You may also recognize this tune from Highs In The Mid Sixties Vol. 15, albeit in a bit scratchier state.

REO Speedealer
Great heavy southern fried punk/hardcore/metal from REO Speedealer. This is not for the faint of heart, but if you dig the sounds of Zeke, Nashville Pussy or the Candy Snatchers you will love this. An interesting side note, these guys were sued by REO Speedwagon in June of '98, after that they became known as Speedealer. I guess REO Speedwagon has no sense of humor, like anybody would ever get the two confused in the first place.
Screeching Weasel - How To Make Enemies And Irritate People
How To Make Enemies And Irritate People is an excellent slab of punk from Screeching Weasel. Led by Ben Weasel with Dan Panic, Jughead and Mike Dirnt (yeah the guy from Green Day). This was recorded as the band was imploding, which should have meant the big suck, but they managed to pull off one of their best efforts.
Keep The Beat
From Hairball records comes Keep The Beat, a cool comp of mid nineties bands. Great upbeat punk with a pop edge or is it the other way around, either way there are some great tracks you’re sure to enjoy.
