Wyld Sydes - Vol. 1

In the event you need a bit of sixties garage to jerk you out of your turkey induced coma...

The Tangerine Zoo - Outside Looking In

The Tangerine Zoo’s second and rarer release, probably the stronger of the two.

ANOTHER MORNING - THE TANGERINE ZOO

Apples In Stereo - Her Wallpaper Reverie

Consider this an introduction to the Apples In Stereo, for those that haven’t already discovered their wonderful sixties inspired sounds. Her Wallpaper Reverie is actually the bands third release, with Fun Trick Noisemaker and Tone Soul Evolution preceding it. I think this is a great place to start, once you digest this you can explore other excellent Apples releases, I highly recommend The Discovery Of A World Inside The Moone. Backwards or forwards through the bands discography, you really can’t go wrong.

STRAWBERRYFIRE - THE APPLES IN STEREO

Freakbeat Freakout

The title kinda says it all!

Acid Dreams Testament

More classic sixties tunes, many available elsewhere, but it’s a pleasant listen nonetheless.

Microdots 2

More sixties goodness with a Texas theme, heavy on live Elevators from '66.

Gathering Of The Tribe

Another classic old compilation, maybe a bit more psych than garage, but there isn’t any harm in that.

THE SUN WENT AWAY - BOUNTY HUNTERS

The Paybacks - Knock Loud

Another great kick ass rockin' record, this time out from Detroit USA, dig the sonic assault!

DON’T LAY IT ON ME - THE PAYBACKS

The Flaming Sideburns - Save Rock 'N' Roll

Save Rock 'N' Roll is the North American debut album from this Finnish band, fronted by an Argentinean on vocals, who sings in both Spanish and English. Another fine example of a Scandinavian band showing North America how to rock 'n' roll, something they seem to have forgotten over the years. You can hear echoes of the Stooges, Stones, MC5 and even a bit of Velvet Underground on this great record.

STREET SURVIVOR - THE FLAMING SIDEBURNS

Rasputin And The Monks

If you dig enthusiastically and ineptly played sixties garage, then this may just be your thing. Evidently this New England garage band was more than familiar with the Stones. The original LP was a split deal from St. Mark’s prep school, one side by Rasputin And The Monks and the flip by the Octet school chorus. For the 1984 vinyl reissue, the Octet school chorus side was omitted, which I would imagine is for the best.

GOTTA GET AWAY - RASPUTIN AND THE MONKS

If You’re Ready!

YOU DON'T KNOW BETTER - SATURDAY'S CHILDREN

Microdots 1

Another stellar compilation, loaded with nothing but great tracks. Again, most of us have owned a copy of this for decades, but just maybe there are few of you who missed this essential collection.

PSYCHEDELIC SIREN - THE DAYBREAKERS

Oh Yeah!

Time to revisit some classic comps that are sadly out of print. Most of us have owned this collection, as well as the second volume, for a few decades, this post is for the have nots. Classic sixties done “Windy City” style! Now where the hell is my Gino’s East deep dish pizza?
FLAC PART I AND II

It Won’t Be The Same Without Her - The Warner Brothers
