The Magnificent Brotherhood [2008]
The Magnificent Brotherhood is a band most readers of this blog might be familiar with, however if you have not had the great pleasure of hearing this excellent record, here is your chance for redemption. This record hits just about every sweet spot a sixties lovin’ music connoisseur could imagine. Sometimes sounding like the Music Machine or the Seeds while other times sounding more like Quicksilver Messenger Service. Amazingly all twelve songs are band originals, and they are all fucking fantastic. Highly recommended! And if you like this please support the band by considering purchasing this and other Magnificent Brotherhood releases!

Kenny And The Kasuals - The Impact Sound Of
Classic fake live album, comprised of all covers, which are skillfully played by a cohesive band. This happens to rise above most similar projects, such as the Elevators Live album or John’s Children Orgasm. This was originally released back in 1967, and was bootlegged as early as 1977. Give this a listen and see what makes this a perennial favorite.
The Tangerine Zoo
Debut album from this Swansea Massachusetts outfit, released on the Mainstream label in 1968. Not a great album, but it’s still an interesting album deserving a listen.
