This thing has been floating around the internet for quite sometime, so some of you may already have this in one form or another. This is my own cassette rip and artwork, so you can expect the GP66 treatment and quality you’ve come to enjoy. Goldmine magazine and ROIR put this wonderful collection out way back in 1985, a lot of these bands are household names these days (okay, at least this household). Bands like the Vipers, Gravedigger V, Tell-Tale Hearts, Pandoras, Fuzztones etc. will need no introduction. It’s the tracks from bands like the Mosquitos, Boys From Nowhere, Aromatics, Trip, Mystic Eyes that will generate the most interest and listening enjoyment.

Peculiar Hole In The Sky
As eluded to in my previous post, this is part of a trilogy along with Hot Generation and Of Hope & Dreams & Tombstones, this release focuses on the pop/psych sounds of Australia.

Of Hopes & Dreams & Tombstones
Okay I’m sure everybody is tired of listening to Back From The Grave volumes by now... right? If so here is a great comp of Aussie Beat and R&B to get you through the day. This one is a companion piece to Hot Generation and Peculiar Hole In The Sky. And the next time you’re at your favorite record store do yourself a favor and buy a Big Beat release, they will never disappoint you!

Root “66” Volume One
Root “66” Volume One is an excellent compilation of Minnesota bands, still one of my favorites after all these years. Sadly there never was to be a second volume, but Root “66” served as a glimpse into Minnesota’s outstanding music scene in the sixties.
Back From The Grave - Volume Eight
Okay there were originally eight volumes of Back From The Grave released on vinyl, volume 7 and 8 were double album sets. Once the digital age came along and the CD versions were released, there was a total of five volumes (Part One through Part Four and Volume Eight). Not all of the tracks from vinyl made it to the CD releases, according to my calculations a total of 21 tracks never made it onto the CD versions.

Oil Stains - Vol. 2
Here’s an oldie but goodie, with plenty of winners on board. Great stuff from the Six Pence, Nightriders and Spiffys just for starters. Sorry folks, I don’t have the first Oil Stains to give it the GP66 treatment, but you can find it at Paradise.

The Bevis Frond - Any Gas Faster
Any Gas Faster is one of my favorite Bevis Frond albums! Too many great songs to even choose a favorite, although These Dark Days and Your Mind’s Gone Grey are strong contenders. Give Any Gas Faster a listen and hear for yourself the genius of Nick Saloman.
Your Mind’s Gone Grey - The Bevis Frond
Back From The Grave - Part Two
Part Two of this absolutely essential and killer collection of sixties punkers!!! Buy these fuckers if you can!

The Bevis Frond - Ear Song
Another excellent album, albeit a short one, from The Bevis Frond. Side A has two tracks taken from Any Gas Faster and Side B is a live performance. This time around Nick Saloman gets a helping hand from Martin Crowley, Rod Goodway and Adrian Shaw.
Olde Worlde [Live] - The Bevis Frond [from the Ear Song album]

The Lewd - Kill Yourself... Again
American Wino by The Lewd has to be one of my most favorite punk rock records from the early eighties hardcore scene. After reading a favorable review in Maximum Rock And Roll, I marched down to the local record store (The Inner Sleeve, to whom I am forever grateful) and picked up a copy of this excellent record. The band originated from Seattle but later moved to San Francisco. This CD (unfortunately out of print) collects the bands first single, the American Wino LP and some demo’s and out-takes.
I’m Not Pretty - The Lewd
The Long Ryders - Native Sons/10-5-60
While the majority of paisley underground bands were mining the fuzz drenched aspects of sixties punk, the Long Ryders took a more countrified Byrdsian approach than most. Much like bands such as Rain Parade and Green On Red, the Long Ryders created a sound that was all their own.
And She Rides - The Long Ryders
The Bevis Frond - Triptych
More great Bevis Frond music, original album plus three extra tracks.
Lights Are Changing - The Bevis Frond [from the Triptych album]

The Bevis Frond - Miasma
Miasma was the debut record from the multi talented Nick Saloman, and yeah it’s a good one.
Maybe - The Bevis Frond [from the Miasma album]
Gravel - Volume 5
At long last, the final volume of Gravel. And please, if you can find these, don’t hesitate to purchase your own copy.

Gravel - Volume 4
While I wait for the cough syrup to kick in, here is another volume of Gravel. Yup, another 24 tracks from the always fascinating and fabulous sixties.
The King Bees - Little Girl [From Gravel - Vol. 4]
