Pebbles - Vol. 6: Chicago 1

First of two volumes dedicated to Chicago. The Moviees - Become One Of Them

Excellent debut record from these Rochester NY guys. Sadly out of print, but according to the bands MySpace page they are planning on releasing a new album soon. How records this good go out of print so relatively quick is a mystery to me. So don’t be a wanker, if you dig this record, support these guys by buying the new album when it comes out, enough said.

Tracks
 1. How High Can You Get
 2. Never Want To Be Like You

The Cybermen

The Cybermen from Cincinnati Ohio, had a short lifespan. Fortunately for those of us who dig this stuff they released two singles in their short time together. This release contains both singles, a track that appeared on the Where The Hell are the Good Scissors compilation and 1 unreleased track. The band had a great mod/garage sound and it’s too bad they didn’t stick around for a long player or two. All songs released between 1988 and 1990.

Essential Pebbles - Vol. 3: European Garage

The third volume of Essential Pebbles. This set has two discs full of European garage goodies. Too many songs to list here.

Pebbles - Vol. 9: Southern California 2

Pebbles volume 9, the second part of the southern California discs.

Pebbles - Vol. 8: Southern California 1

The first of two volumes dedicated specifically to southern California. This volume takes me back to those days, decades ago, when I scored my first Pebbles records at the local record shop (Dopey’s). The thrill of hearing these great lost songs for the first time and realizing there was a lot more to the 60’s than the oldies stations were feeding me, was an epiphany. Events that would alter my music interests forever, and more importantly understanding that there was an awful lot of good music to be heard, one only had to look a little harder to find it. And not just garage punk either! Enough of my babble, here’s the goods... PEBBLES 8

Pebbles - Vol. 10

Another installment of the Pebbles series. This is volume 10, I believe there were only 12 volumes released on CD, not including the Essential series which encompassed 3 double CD volumes. And then there were 3 volumes of Planetary Pebbles. The 4 volumes I posted earlier are not the same as the AIP discs. If anybody has volumes 1-4 or 12 feel free to post them as I do not have those particular volumes.

Mod And The Rockers - Now (1967)

Your standard Justice LP here. Gonna Love You Every Day is a pretty good song to open the record with, but things dissolve pretty quickly, only to be rescued by a good version of Gloria and Always By My Side isn’t too bad for a ballad. Posted for Roadrunner Beat Beat.

Yard Trauma - Must Have Been Something I Took Last Night (1985)

Yard Trauma’s sophomore effort, and a pretty good one with better songs and better playing than on the first (see post from 2-6-09).

Pebbles - Vol. 11: Northern California

It’s not often I get a request here at GP66, but someone out there requested this one... enjoy!

Outstanding british pop psych from Jason Crest. This contains all A and B sides of their 5 UK singles plus an additional six tracks of outtakes.

The 60’s Choice - Volume 1 & 2

Nice twofer with loads more cool lost sixties garage goodies.
Sorry no time for track listings today.

The Fuzztones - Lysergic Ejaculations: Live In Europe 1991

Excellent live recording from the greatest garage band ever!  This was recorded December 6th, 1991 in Tuebingen, Germany. So crank this disc up to eleven, go forth and annoy the squares with this delightful sonic assault.
